The Diversity in Food and Beverage Pledge sets the standard for policies, practices, tracking, and reporting for global diversity initiatives for the industry.

Signees pledge to create diverse and inclusive workplaces. Commitments may include, but are not limited to: 


  • Creating safe, empowered spaces for employees/members to dialogue about diversity and inclusion.


  • Implementing implicit bias training. 


  • Enacting comprehensive Diversity & Inclusion plans, including employment, promotion, and training policies. 


  • Undergoing Diversity & Inclusion auditing to measure progress and adjust strategies for maximum success.


  • Confronting and dismantling racism, sexism/sexual harassment, homophobia, ableism, ethnic and religious prejudice, and all forms of discrimination within their organization.


  • Being industry role models by publicly sharing narratives of successes and missteps. 


  • Working toward a hospitality industry where opportunities are equitable and accessible to everyone.
